Everything you need to know about Tuning Labs — DSP tuning, auto-tune, hardware, pricing, and more.
Getting Started
Tuning Labs is a professional car audio DSP tuning platform for installation shops. It includes AI-powered auto-tune, real-time RTA measurement, a 975+ product hardware library, digital work orders, shop management tools, and a 23-module car audio academy — all in one platform.
Start at pricing.html to choose a plan. After subscribing, you'll receive a license key by email. Connect your measurement mic, load its calibration file, and run the preflight sequence. The AI Advisor guides you through the full 25-test auto-tune from there.
All modern browsers work for most features. For direct USB DSP connection via WebHID, Chrome or Edge on desktop is required. Firefox and Safari work with the Native Bridge for DSP access and support all other features including RTA, work orders, academy, and AI Advisor.
Yes. Tuning Labs is a responsive Progressive Web App and works on tablets and mobile. A native Android app is in development. For DSP hardware control on mobile, the Tuning Labs Native Bridge on a nearby laptop provides the USB connection.
Yes. It's a Progressive Web App with full offline support. The hardware library, academy, and DSP tuning tools are cached locally via IndexedDB. Work orders sync automatically when you reconnect.
DSP & Hardware
Tuning Labs supports Euphoria EDSP31-610, EDSP31-68, Dayton Audio DSP-408, BLAM LA808, and other YDW-family processors via USB HID (WebHID or native bridge), Bluetooth BLE, and simulation mode for offline testing.
Three connection methods: WebHID (direct USB in Chrome/Edge), Bluetooth BLE for wireless DSPs, and the Tuning Labs Native Bridge (a local server for USB access from any browser). The platform detects your connection type automatically.
Yes. Tuning Labs includes Harley-Davidson factory system profiles, wind noise compensation EQ curves, and multi-position open-air tuning support for fairing and saddlebag speakers. See the Harley Audio Guide for details.
Yes. Tuning Labs includes EV and hybrid vehicle profiles including the Cadillac LYRIQ with ANC bypass, A2B bus audio, and DC-DC power noise considerations. The AI Advisor flags EV-specific tuning challenges automatically.
Auto-Tune & Measurement
The 25-test sequence covers mixer setup, signal verification, mic calibration, noise floor, frequency response, gain staging, polarity, channel sensitivity, crossover, parametric EQ, time alignment, level reference, THD, IMD, and final verification. All tests are derived from the academy's professional tuning methodology and are mandatory — the sequence cannot be shortened.
Full Auto runs all 25 tests and applies corrections automatically. Semi-Auto (Assisted) runs the same tests but presents results to the technician for review — the tech approves, modifies, or rejects each correction before it's applied. Semi-Auto is recommended for professional shops that want final control.
Any USB measurement microphone with a calibration file (.cal, .frd, or .txt). Recommended: miniDSP UMIK-2, OmniMic V2, Dayton Audio UMM-6. Load your calibration file and the platform applies frequency correction automatically during all measurements.
Measurement microphones have frequency response variations that cause errors of several dB without calibration. The calibration file corrects for your specific mic's response curve so EQ corrections reflect actual speaker output. Tuning without a calibrated mic is blocked by the platform — this is a hard gate, not just a warning.
Shop Management
Work orders capture vehicle info, customer details, hardware installed, labor, and tuning notes. They support digital customer signatures, hardware lookup from the 975+ product library, PDF export, and AI-generated summaries. Work orders sync with shop records and can be searched by date, vehicle, or status.
Expert's Corner is Tuning Labs' community hub where professional installers share tuning tips, hardware reviews, and installation guides. It includes AI-generated articles on DSP tuning topics and community Q&A.
Amp Selection, Compatibility Check, Diagnostics Score, Crossover Advisor, Gain Staging, What-If Analyzer, Tuning Advisor, RTA Coaching, Full Report, Work Order Summary, and Budget Builder. Each mode uses your vehicle data, hardware specs, and measurement results for context-aware recommendations.
Pricing & Account
