Every time you run a tune, your system generates valuable frequency data. By sharing this anonymous data, you directly help improve target curves, genre profiles, and AI recommendations for the entire Tuning Labs community.
The more shops that contribute, the smarter the system gets — better starting points, more accurate corrections, and faster results for everyone.
What We Capture
Vehicle type (sedan, truck, motorcycle, etc.) — not your VIN or plate
RTA frequency snapshots before & after tuning (31 bands)
EQ curves, crossover settings, and time alignment values
Target curve selection and genre preference
Tuning score (how close to target you got)
What We Never Capture
Your name, shop name, or email address
License key or account identity
Location, IP address, or device info
Audio recordings or microphone data

Step 1: Gain Staging & Safety Setup
This step is REQUIRED before every tuning session.
Auto-Tune will make real-time changes to your DSP processor. The system needs full control of the gain structure to tune safely and accurately.
Semi-Auto and Manual never connect to your DSP. Tuning Labs plays every test tone from this browser into the head unit and tells you what to set; you make every change in your DSP's own software.
DO THIS NOW:
Set your head unit volume to 80% of maximum (or your known clean max, whichever is lower). This gives the DSP the strongest clean signal.
The auto-tuner will control ALL volume through the DSP master gain. It will start at minimum (-60 dB / silent) and raise gradually during tests.
You control the DSP master volume. Before the first tone, the run list asks you to set it (−20 dB on the tuning card), unmute every wired channel and set every EQ band flat. The browser never changes it.
Keep your hand near the head unit volume knob — if anything sounds wrong, turn it DOWN immediately.
Vehicle running is recommended (alternator provides stable power for amps). Battery-only will work but voltage may sag under load.
Vehicle must be stationary in a quiet location.
What happens next: When you click Proceed, the system will immediately set the DSP master volume to minimum (silent) and verify the command landed via read-back confirmation. Only then will it proceed to hardware verification and preflight tests.
What happens next: When you click Proceed, Session Setup opens. Nothing is sent to the DSP. The first tone plays only after you confirm the run list with one OK and the mic calibration completes.
Session Setup
Pick your curve and mic, connect the DSP, start RTA, and choose whether to run preflight. Hit Save and the page is ready.

Multi-mic spatial averaging will be turned on. Configure the vehicle template + per-position mic assignments in the Multi-Mic Spatial Averaging panel below before starting tests.
Channel → micEach DSP channel is measured by the mic you assign it. The same mic can cover several channels.

Physical Gaps — no driver can produce these frequencies:
Thin Coverage — driver covers it but can't hit target SPL:
Handoff Issues — gaps or overlaps between adjacent drivers:
The tune will run, but residuals at gap frequencies will not fully close.
The AI will not propose corrections at acknowledged gap bands.
